Major Blast Rocks Zhytomyr Region: What We Know So Far

On the evening of Wednesday, 2 July, two powerful explosions were reported in the Zhytomyr region, possibly at a warehouse belonging to an industrial enterprise in the village of Berezyna.

This was reported by the police of the Zhytomyr region.

“At present, specialists from the State Emergency Service, investigative and operational teams from the Main Police Department of Zhytomyr Region and Police Department No. 1 of the Zhytomyr District Administration, as well as patrol officers and medical personnel, are working at the scene,” the police report states.

In Zhytomyr, the Regional Military Administration (OVA) reported two people dead and fifteen injured.

Residents have shared footage from the scene, showing numerous damaged and burning vehicles.
