Powerful explosions rocked Samara: drones attacked Novokuibyshevsk refinery

On the night of November 27, explosions were heard on the territory of the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region.

This is reported by Russian media.

According to him, residents of Novokuibyshevsk heard a series of explosions, after which Rosaviatsia temporarily suspended the operation of Samara Airport. Later, Astra clarified that the target of the attack was the local refinery, which is part of the structure of PJSC “NK Rosneft”.

The channel’s analysts analyzed the video taken by residents of the city. The recordings show at least three bright flashes: one in the air at an altitude of about 1.5 km, another one near the horizon, probably the result of Russian air defense, and the third one directly on the territory of the enterprise. The distance to the epicenter of the event, according to analysts, exceeds 3.5 km.

There has been no official response from local authorities or the company as of this morning.

As a reminder, on the night of November 26 , an attack by unknown drones was recorded in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic of the Russian Federation. A local defense plant was likely attacked again.

As reported, on the night of November 24-25 , a large-scale drone attack took place in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. Almost simultaneously, explosions erupted in several cities – Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Anapa and Krasnodar. The most difficult situation was in Novorossiysk, where local residents heard alarm sirens and reports of an alleged chemical or radiation hazard for several hours.
