Preparations are underway in Budapest for a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
This was announced by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

“Next up is preparation – Yuri Ushakov, chief advisor to the President of the Russian Federation on foreign policy,” he captioned the photo.
Earlier, the Hungarian official noted that late on the evening of October 16, he had a conversation with Christopher Landau, the American Deputy Secretary of State, and Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, adding that they had begun preparations for the summit.
“Hungary, as an island of peace, is ready to host the summit, we will ensure all conditions for the presidents to hold successful negotiations with each other so that peace returns to Europe,” Szijjártó wrote.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also confirmed information about preparations for the Trump-Putin meeting .
He has already conducted telephone interviews with both the American and Russian presidents.
Recall, Donald Trump intends to meet with the head of the Kremlin in Hungary in order to put an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
