Prince William and his family are preparing to move to a new residence. In particular, by the end of the year they will leave Adelaide Cottage and move to Forest Lodge.

Daily Mail reports this.

The new building is a Grade II listed building in an elegant Georgian style. The spacious estate has eight bedrooms, considerably more than their current residence.

According to sources close to the royal family, the main reason for the move was Kate Middleton’s victory over cancer. Adelaide Cottage was associated with a difficult period in her life, including the battle with the disease and the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, with whom the princess had a particularly warm relationship.

“The move gives them the chance to start over and open a new chapter. It’s an opportunity to put some of the worst memories behind them,” the British publication quotes an insider as saying.

It is noteworthy that the spouses plan to cover all expenses for moving and setting up their new home at their own expense.

Let us recall that it was previously reported that Kate Middleton and Prince William, together with their children, are planning to move from Adelaide Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
