“Priority is to shoot down martyrs”: Ukraine accelerates the supply of additional air defense systems

Ukraine is accelerating the delivery of additional air defense systems to protect against Russian air targets.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We count on maximum activity of Ukrainian diplomats in relevant contacts with partners,” he wrote.

In addition, the president instructed the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, to coordinate government officials, regional administrations, and energy companies to purchase additional short- and medium-range air defense systems.

At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized the need for funding for the production of Ukrainian drones.

“The priority is to shoot down the “shaheeds”. Report on supplies weekly,” he summarized.

As a reminder, France and Germany agreed to strengthen Ukrainian air defense after another massive attack by the Russian Federation.

Previously , Germany agreed to provide Ukraine with two more Patriot air defense systems after reaching an agreement with the United States to replace the transferred equipment.
