The American company Auterion announced the successful completion of the Artemis project and the testing of the Artemis ALM-20 long-range kamikaze drone over the territory of the Russian Federation. The company announces the start of large-scale joint serial production in Ukraine, the United States and Germany.
This is reported by Defense Express .
The manufacturer, Auterion, indicates that the Artemis ALM-20 has a range of one thousand six hundred kilometers and a warhead weighing forty-five kilograms.
The drone was reportedly developed in collaboration with an unnamed Ukrainian company. The tests, the company said, “included ground launch, GPS and non-GPS navigation, long-range transit, and ground-based operation.”
A key element is Auterion’s Skynode N on-board computer, which, according to the developers, “allows the drone to target and engage targets even in the event of satellite navigation failures” and “ensures the highest accuracy in the final phase of flight.”
Auterion has released one image of a drone, designated as the Artemis ALM-20 “deepstrike”; its aerodynamic shape resembles the Shahed-136. It is highlighted that the drone has a camera on its nose, additional antennas and, presumably, an electric motor.
The company says it intends to move “to a scaling phase aimed at large-scale joint production” with the US Department of Defense and other partners. According to them, production lines will be built in Ukraine, the US and Germany.
The article notes that smaller versions of the Artemis family have already been publicly demonstrated in Ukraine, including during Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s visit in late 2024.
The text also provides information about the combat use of such small systems in March, when they were demonstrated by the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov”. At that time, the name UAS SETH appeared and it was noted that the first batch was supplied thanks to the “Return Alive” fund.
Auterion emphasizes that “government experts approved the [Artemis] program after operational flight tests in Ukraine.”
We remind you that the participants of the Brave1 cluster, together with the 3rd assault brigade, created a unique drone with artificial intelligence.
