Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions against companies linked to Russia.

He reported this on Telegram.

Thus, legal entities that service the Russian tanker fleet and transport Russian sanctioned oil have been subject to restrictions.

In addition, there are new sanctions that have been applied to Kremlin propagandists and individuals involved in cyberattacks against Ukraine and partners.

“We are countering all attempts by the Russian regime to destabilize the situation in Ukraine,” the president emphasized.

Among other things, the process of synchronizing Ukrainian sanctions with the European Union is ongoing. In particular, last week the EU synchronized restrictions on six Russian propagandists in its jurisdiction.

At the same time, European partners are working on a new, 20th, package of sanctions.

“We expect it to be adopted at the end of February. We can already see that many of our proposals have been taken into account,” Zelenskyy commented.

Earlier, Ukraine implemented a decision to impose new sanctions against Russia. The restrictions included the Russian Paralympic Committee, the Russian Esports Federation, and a number of individuals.

As a reminder, the European Union recently imposed personal sanctions against several well-known Russian propagandists . These are TV presenters and journalists who systematically support Russia’s war against Ukraine.
