Prosecutor General Kravchenko signed a complaint of suspicion against NABU Director Kryvonos

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said he had signed a notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. According to him, Kryvonos is suspected of forging official documents and taking actions to avoid liability in court.
He said this in an address to Telegram .
According to Kravchenko, Kryvonos is charged with forging official documents to obtain illegal benefits in a particularly large amount, as well as actions aimed at creating grounds for avoiding liability in court.
“In order not to be unfounded, based on the collected evidence, I signed a complaint against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. I suspect him of forging official documents to obtain illegal benefits and fictitious adoption,” Kravchenko said.
The Prosecutor General also announced suspicions against a person close to the head of the SAPO. According to him, this concerns possible influence over a judge of the Supreme Judicial Council, an offer of undue advantage, and assistance in evading mobilization.
Kravchenko claims that it was this proceeding that caused the nighttime storming of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Separately, the Prosecutor General stated that the purpose of Operation Carthage was to gain access to closed materials of the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the investigation of crimes committed by NABU employees. According to him, during the searches of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the NABU leadership allegedly gained access to these materials.
Kravchenko also stated that he had previously been restrained from making such decisions by President Volodymyr Zelensky and representatives of anti-corruption agencies. At the end of his address, the Prosecutor General called on NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and SAPO Head Oleksandr Klymenko to resign.
Kravchenko later added that the report of suspicion was registered with the ERDR and sent in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law.
As is known, on September 7 , Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko submitted his resignation . He called it a conscious political decision.
Recall that the charges against Kravchenko are related to a high-profile corruption scandal that arose as a result of the special operation of the NABU and the SAPO “Carthage” . As part of this investigation, anti-corruption authorities exposed a criminal organization that “covered” a network of fraudulent call centers.
At the center of this scheme, according to the investigation, was Serhiy Kropyva, deputy head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office, who had friendly relations with Ruslan Kravchenko. Kropyva was detained on September 4. The next day, September 5, Serhiy Kropyva was taken into custody .
