As of the morning of January 13, there was no information about Ukrainian citizens killed, detained, or injured during the protests in Iran.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in a comment to “Social”.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the Embassy of Ukraine in Tehran is operating as usual and continues to monitor the situation in the country.

“As of this morning, the Embassy of Ukraine in Iran has not received information about the presence of Ukrainian citizens among the dead, injured, or detained. The institution continues to monitor the situation,” the department reported.

Earlier it was reported that mass protests are ongoing in Iran, during which security forces are using harsh measures against demonstrators. According to human rights activists, the death toll has exceeded 500 people, and more than 10,600 people have been detained.

Recallthat a wave of mass protests broke out in Iran, caused by the rapid fall of the national currency and the aggravation of the economic crisis . Against the backdrop of the collapse of the Iranian rial, the ayatollah regime is increasingly losing control of the situation, which is causing open resistance in various regions of the country.
