Pryamoy TV Channel Among the Leaders in Consumer News Trust, according to a study by Internews Ukraine.

The Pryamiy TV channel is one of the most trusted channels among its audiences, according to the Internews Ukraine study “Ukrainian Media: News Consumption and Trust in 2025.”

Despite the fact that Pryamoy was illegally disconnected from digital terrestrial broadcasting in 2022, in 2025 it was among the top ten TV channels whose news Ukrainians watched most often.

Among consumers of national news channels on social media who prefer YouTube, Pryamoy is among the top 5 most popular media outlets.

Specifically, in the segment of national Facebook pages/channels where Ukrainians most often read or watch news, Pryamiy took sixth place, having significantly increased its ranks since 2024.

Compared to 2024, trust in traditional media has increased significantly (from 47% to 53%), according to researchers. However, more than a third of Ukrainians (37%) still rely on social media as their only source of news, while 51% of the audience uses multiple sources.

“Ukrainian Media: News Consumption and Trust in 2025” is a new study from Internews-Ukraine, continuing the Internews Network’s long-standing tradition of studying the Ukrainian media sphere. The analysis addresses the following questions:

  • How Ukrainians use different types of media and devices to get news;
  • how much do they trust news and information sources;
  • How is the “Unified News” telethon perceived?
  • How widespread are disinformation narratives;
  • Do Ukrainians turn to Russian media?
  • How willing are people to pay for online news?
