PSG vs. Barcelona: Prediction for the central match of the third round of the Champions League

On Tuesday, October 20, PSG will host Barcelona in the third round of the Champions League main stage. The match at the Parc des Princes stadium kicks off at 10:00 PM Kyiv time.
Under Luis Enrique, the Parisians not only won the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history in 2025, but were also able to defend the title in the following edition.
Domestically, the team hasn’t always demonstrated consistent results, in part due to squad rotation. Meanwhile, PSG made a convincing start to the Champions League, crushing Slovan Bratislava 6-1 and then beating Manchester City away last week.
Hans-Dieter Flick’s team is performing confidently domestically, though they’ve struggled in cup competitions. Despite personnel issues and unsuccessful summer transfer attempts, the Catalans are playing productive football.
Barcelona have also been prolific in the current Champions League campaign, scoring five goals against Feyenoord and four against Galatasaray, winning both matches.
History of confrontations
In the 2023/24 Champions League quarterfinals, the teams exchanged away victories, with PSG securing a spot in the next round. Last year, the Parisians also defeated Barcelona 2-1 on their home field.
