In Kyiv, on November 2, due to power supply problems, train traffic on the red and green lines of the metro was temporarily limited, and electric transport was also stopped on certain routes. The blue line of the metro continues to operate as usual.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
According to the Kyiv City State Administration, due to significant voltage fluctuations from external power centers, train traffic was temporarily suspended on the green metro line between the Osokorky and Chervony Khutir stations, as well as on the above-ground section of the red line.
On the red line, trains run only between the Akademmistechko and Arsenalna stations. The blue line operates as usual.
In addition, due to a lack of voltage in the power system, electric transport was stopped on the Borshchagovskaya light rail line and on Vidradny Avenue.
Kyivpastrans reported that they will inform you about the resumption of traffic and further changes in the operation of public transport in additional information.
Social media also reports of congestion of passengers near metro stations and traffic jams on the capital’s roads. According to eyewitnesses, the situation is particularly difficult on the Left Bank of Kyiv.
The day before, DTEK announced the introduction of emergency power outages in Kyiv and Kyiv region at the command of Ukrenergo. During such outages, hourly schedules will not apply.
As of 10:30 a.m., train traffic on the “red” metro line has resumed normal operation.
Trains run between the stations “Akademmistechko” and “Lisova”.
Also, trains resumed operation on the “green” line between the stations “Osokorky” – “Chervony Khutir”.
By the way, on the morning of November 2 , water supply was suspended in Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region due to damage to an infrastructure facility as a result of a Russian drone attack.
It was previously reported that on the night of November 2, Russian troops struck a DTEK energy facility in the Odessa region.
