Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko conducted a joint nuclear force exercise via video link amid Russian-Belarusian military exercises.

This was reported by Russian propaganda agencies RIA Novosti and Belta.

According to Putin, during the exercises, Russian and Belarusian military personnel are practicing the launch of ballistic and cruise missiles. At the same time, the Kremlin leader called the use of nuclear weapons “an extreme measure to ensure security.”

Lukashenko, for his part, stated that Russia and Belarus “are not threatening anyone” but are ready to defend their territories.

“We pose absolutely no threat to anyone. But we have such weapons, and we are ready to defend our common homeland from Brest to Vladivostok by any means necessary,” the Belarusian dictator said.

Lukashenko also stated that he had inspected military facilities in Belarus and that they were in “good condition.” He added that the Russian generals participating in the exercises were satisfied with their joint work.

As reported, on Monday, May 18, military units responsible for the use and maintenance of nuclear weapons began training in Belarus.
