Putin and Trump have begun their meeting: what is known

A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding the resolution of the war in Ukraine has begun at a US air base in Anchorage.
This was reported by the Associated Press.
It is known that the president’s advisors also joined the meeting: Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff are sitting next to Trump, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and an aide to the Kremlin leader are sitting next to Putin.
The leaders did not answer any questions from journalists, and were later asked to leave the room where the negotiations would take place.
Other details of the meeting are currently unknown, however, it was noted that Putin and Trump plan to hold a joint press conference after the meeting.
Recall, on the evening of August 15 , the planes of US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin landed in Alaska.
The White House previously announced that the format of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and the Russian dictator had changed somewhat .
It is worth adding that during discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders, US President Donald Trump expressed the opinion that within the framework of a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, “a territory exchange is needed.”
It should be noted that Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga stated before the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska that peace in Ukraine cannot be defined without Ukraine .
