Putin could not answer why Russia is destroying homes in eastern Ukraine

During an interview with Indian journalists, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin virtually refused to answer the question of why the Russian army was destroying the homes of residents of eastern Ukraine – even those who support the occupation.

The journalist asked Putin a direct and obvious question, but he pretended not to understand it. This put the dictator in a dead end and demonstrated that he has no arguments to justify the destruction that the Russians are causing to Ukrainian cities and villages.

Putin tried to avoid answering and shift the blame to Ukraine, repeating propaganda clichés about “the destruction of Donbas by the Armed Forces of Ukraine” and “the expression of the will of the people.” Such a reaction, according to the CPD, only confirmed that he is not interested in the fate of the people, and Russia’s goal is to destroy Ukrainian statehood.

It was previously reportedthat Donald Trump’s team’s attempt to hold “peace talks” in Moscow did not affect the Kremlin’s position and did not bring the end of the war against Ukraine closer.
