US President Donald Trump has said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin intends to seize all of Ukraine.
He stated this during an interview on the Newsmax channel.
“He’s obviously a tough cookie, so nothing has changed in that regard… It’s worked three times, and he might want to try to take over everything (Ukraine – ed.). I think it’s going to be very hard for him to do that,” Trump said.
At the same time, Trump noted that the United States will impose sanctions against Russia, but is not sure that this will affect Putin.
“He’s pretty good at dealing with sanctions. He knows how to avoid them,” Trump said.
As reported, US President Donald Trump said that Russia has 10 days to reach an agreement on the war in Ukraine. In case of refusal, Washington will introduce new economic restrictions, including tariffs. At the same time, Trump admitted that the war will continue longer than expected.
Incidentally, according to sources, the current US president is offering Putin peace on terms that could be advantageous for Russia, but the Kremlin is refusing . Trump, who until recently avoided open confrontation with Moscow and even considered recognizing the annexation of Crimea, is now openly pressuring Putin. The turning point was his agreement to support the transfer of weapons to Ukraine through European partners – a decision that analysts call “belated but critically important.”
