Putin’s yacht was spotted off Denmark under the protection of Russian warships.

The superyacht Graceful (Kosatka), linked to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, has been spotted off the coast of Denmark, escorted by Russian warships.

This was reported by the Danish publication DR, citing data from shipping monitoring services and photographs taken by eyewitnesses from the coast.

According to journalists, the yacht, over 80 meters long and approximately 20 meters wide, passed through Danish territorial waters on the night of June 29. The vessel first crossed the Great Belt Strait, then passed by Anholt Island, and was heading toward the town of Skagen.

According to Forbes, Graceful is valued at approximately $119 million. Russian opposition politicians have repeatedly claimed that the yacht belongs to Vladimir Putin.

As DR notes, the vessel’s transponder has been switched off since at least August 30, 2022, after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. The yacht was then spotted in St. Petersburg.

According to the publication, the yacht was escorted by a Russian destroyer and a patrol ship while passing through the Baltic Sea. The Danish Navy and the German Coast Guard have been monitoring the Russian convoy’s movements since June 28. The Danish patrol ship P521 Freja is escorting the group of vessels.
