Rain and sleet: weekend weather forecast

On the night of Saturday, October 4, rain is expected in most western regions of Ukraine, as well as in the Odesa and Vinnytsia regions. During the day, precipitation will cover almost the entire country, except for the east.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
The heaviest rainfall is forecast for the Odesa region, as well as the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, with thunderstorms in some areas. In the northern regions, precipitation will be light.
Temperatures will range from 5–10°C overnight, to 12–17°C during the day, rising to 20°C in the east and south. In the Carpathians, temperatures will be around 0°C at night, and 1–6°C during the day, with sleet possible in the high mountains.
In Kyiv on the night of October 4 there will be no precipitation, light rain during the day, temperatures from 6–8° at night to around 15° during the day.
According to the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, the warmest day on this date was in 1888 (+28°), and the coldest was in 1910 (-2.6°).
On Sunday, October 5, light rain is forecast across Ukraine. In the east and southeast, it will be moderate during the day, with occasional thunderstorms. Temperatures will be 5-10°C overnight, 12-17°C during the day, and up to 20°C in the south and east. In the Carpathians, there will be sleet, with temperatures around 0°C at night and up to 6°C during the day. In Kyiv, light rain is expected, with temperatures of 8-10°C at night and around 15°C during the day.
