Unstable weather is forecast in Ukraine with temperature fluctuations, rain and sleet in various regions. According to forecaster Natalia Ptukha, the coming days will be characterized by significant fluctuations and contrasts.

This is reported by OBOZ.UA.

It is noted that immediately after the frosty night on Thursday, weather forecasters predict warming in most of Ukraine. However, this warming will not last long, as temperatures will remain unstable over the next two days, Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22.

In the western regions, temperatures are expected to range from -3 to +4 degrees at night and during the day. Rain is possible in the rest of the territory, except for the southeast. According to the forecast, the temperature increase will be from 3 to 5 degrees .

“There may be wet snow and rain in the western regions,” said Natalia Ptukha.

The weather forecaster explains that the cause of such changes will be the arrival of a new portion of warm air from southwestern Europe.

“A new portion of warm air will begin to arrive from southwestern Europe. So we expect a gradual increase in temperature,” she explained.

According to her, there will be a sharp contrast on weather maps during this period.

“The west has minus temperatures at night, and in the south, on the contrary, during the day it can even reach +17 degrees,” the weather forecaster noted.

By the end of the week, over the weekend, a mixed phase of precipitation is forecast in the western regions – rain with sleet.

“But in the highlands, of course, it can snow and sometimes linger on the surface, because the temperatures in the western regions during the day are -3… +4 degrees, that is, a slight plus during the day, a slight minus at night. Therefore, there may be ice on the roads in some places, it is worth paying attention to this,” warned Natalia Ptukha.

In other regions, temperatures are expected to range from +3 to +5 degrees at night, and from +8 to +10 degrees during the day. It will be significantly warmer in the east and south – up to +18 degrees , and in Crimea up to +20 degrees .

Rain and sleet are possible in Kyiv on Sunday, but there will be no significant manifestations of winter weather yet.

If on Sunday, forecasters predict a slight drop in temperature to +2… +4 degrees, then on Monday night, sub-zero temperatures are expected. During the day, the air will warm up to zero or slightly higher, and no precipitation is forecast.

The weather forecaster notes that such fluctuations may persist throughout the cold season.

“Such fluctuations will persist, and this trend may be characteristic of almost the entire cold season, as in previous years. We often do not have a stable snow cover. It can form for several days, then melt completely,” explained Natalia Ptukha.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has published a separate forecast for the period until Monday, November 24. According to forecasters, the weather in Ukraine will vary depending on the region.

On Friday, November 21, cloudy weather with light rain is expected. Wet snow is possible in Transcarpathia. The temperature will remain positive in all regions.

On Saturday, November 22, it will get colder in the west, where rain with sleet and temperatures from -1 to +3 degrees are forecast. In the center, east and south it will be warmer – up to +18 degrees during the day.

On Sunday, November 23, mixed precipitation is possible almost throughout Ukraine, except for the southern and eastern regions. The coldest will be in the west, where the night temperature is expected to be from -3 to -6 degrees. In the east and south, the daytime temperature will reach from +14 to +17 degrees.

It was previously reported that a significant deterioration in the weather is expected in Ukraine on November 21 – rain with wet snow and wind gusts of up to 17–22 m/s are forecast in a significant part of the territory.
