Rains across Ukraine, wet snow in the Carpathians: forecasters warn of worsening weather on October 5

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported that on Sunday, October 5, rain is expected in most of Ukraine, and wet snow and frost in the Carpathians. Forecasters warn of strong gusts of wind and fog in the west and north of the country.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.

According to the forecast, tomorrow in Ukraine will be cloudy with clearings. Moderate rains will occur in most regions, and in the eastern regions even significant precipitation is possible during the day. There will be no significant rains only in the south of the country.

At night and in the morning, fog will form in places in the western and northern regions. The wind is expected to be westerly and southwesterly at a speed of 7–12 m/s, in the Carpathians in some places gusts will reach 15–20 m/s.

The air temperature at night will be from +6 to +11 °C, during the day – +11…+16 °C. In the southern and eastern regions it will be warmer – up to +18 °C. In the west of the country – cooler: at night +3…+8 °C, during the day +8…+13 °C.

Rain and sleet are expected in the Carpathian highlands, and the temperature will range from -2 to +3 °C during the day.

Forecasters are urging tourists and drivers to be careful in mountainous areas due to possible worsening weather conditions.

It was previously reported that warmer weather is expected in Ukraine in October than in previous years . The temperature is expected to be 1° higher than normal.
