In Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, shelling with phosphorus ammunition was recorded. The video was released by pilots of the “Phoenix” unit of the State Border Guard Service.

This is stated on the State Statistical Service of Ukraine website.

The department stated that civilians still remain in the city.

“Despite this, the enemy mercilessly struck civilians with phosphorus, a banned substance that causes severe health consequences,” the post says.

Border guards showed footage from the sky showing ammunition falling over the city and causing fires.

The service emphasizes that shelling with such substances poses a serious danger to people remaining in Kostyantynivka.

Recall that Vladimir Putin may resort to using much more deadly chemical weapons against Ukraine in the event of a protracted or stalemate situation in the war.

As reported, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion , Russian army soldiers have used chemical weapons against the Ukrainian Defense Forces about 11,000 times.

By the way, the European Union has increased pressure on those involved in the development and use of chemical weapons . The EU Council officially extended the effect of individual sanctions for another year – until October 16, 2026. The decision was made to prevent the spread of prohibited substances and strengthen the implementation of international obligations to destroy them.
