Real winter is coming to Ukraine: most regions will be hit by severe frosts

Soon, cold and dry air will begin to arrive in Ukraine from the regions of Finland and the Kola Peninsula, bringing with it frost.

This was reported by weather forecaster Igor Kibalchych, reports “Telegraph”.

According to the expert, damp and cloudy weather will be observed in Ukraine from December 10 to 12. The air temperature will fluctuate within the range of -1°C…+10°C.

However, from December 13, regions — especially those on the left bank of the Dnieper — will begin to experience frost. At night, the thermometer will drop to -8 in some places, and during the day it will rise to +1°C. In addition, gusty winds are expected.

The coldest night during this period will be December 16 – in the eastern regions and in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the air temperature will reach -9°C…-12°C, while on the Right Bank, temperatures above 0°C are forecast during the day and slight frosts at night.

However, starting December 17, Ukraine will experience warming, brought by western and southwestern winds.

We remind you that several regions of Ukraine are experiencing heavy snowfall today . Kharkiv, Poltava, and Zaporizhia were covered with a dense layer of snow in a short time, which is already affecting the situation on the roads.
