Received bribes for removal from wanted list: SBI exposes CCC official in Volyn

In the Volyn region, the acting head of one of the district CCCs was exposed for interfering in the registration of military conscripts for money.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
It is alleged that he helped remove conscripts and reservists from the wanted list for illegal gain. This allowed the men to obtain deferrals and avoid conscription.
SBI employees learned that the defendant once promised to perform illegal work for 3 thousand US dollars. He planned to receive the money in two stages.
The official received the first half, and while receiving the other part, law enforcement officers detained him.
The man was charged with receiving an illegal benefit from an official. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway. SBI officers are conducting searches at the detainee’s place of work and residence. In addition, other possible facts of receiving illegal benefits and the involvement of other officials in them are being checked.
“SBI investigators have filed a petition with the court to impose a preventive measure and remove the suspect from office,” the bureau reported.
Previously, the State Bureau of Investigation exposed an employee of one of the district territorial recruitment centers in the Ivano-Frankivsk region who, together with the management, humiliated and beat conscripts.
