Record-breaking shipment: Poroshenko handed over 15 Ai-Petri missile systems to the military.
A record-breaking batch of Ai-Petri missiles has been delivered to Ukrainian Armed Forces units. At the same time, 15 fully equipped counter-technical reconnaissance systems will provide additional cover for Ukrainian defenders.
According to Petro Poroshenko, who invested over 200 million hryvnias of his own money into this development in the fall of 2023, this is the first batch under government contract.
“Fifteen Ai-Petri PGTR systems are the largest number we’ve ever delivered to the army at one time. But what sets this delivery apart from others is that these are the first Ai-Petri systems to be delivered to the Defense Forces under a state contract,” Poroshenko wrote on social media.
“We launched this project over a year ago. We’ve been involved in every aspect, from development to the delivery of finished equipment to the front. “Ai-Petri” is already covering hundreds of kilometers along the front lines in Kharkiv, Sumy, Donbas, and the South,” the fifth President noted.
“The state contract for the Ai-Petri PGTR signifies recognition of the quality of our systems. It is recognition of their combat effectiveness. We are currently delivering 15 systems worth UAH 130,000,000, which are already being sent to various branches of the armed forces. In particular, four systems have already been received by Ukrainian special forces, whose faces, as always, we cannot reveal,” noted Petro Poroshenko.
Each system includes the PDTR system itself, a pickup truck, a multi-band electronic warfare dome, a charging station, and the necessary electronics. “This is cybersecurity with unique properties, developed by our team of specialists—programmers and engineers. Neither the Ukrainian Armed Forces nor the enemy has anything like it today. And we have established serial production,” Poroshenko previously reported .
“Autumn is approaching the front, bringing rain. But we’re doing everything possible to ensure that not only snow but also enemy attack and reconnaissance drones fall on the contact line. Our team will do everything possible to bring this plan to fruition,” Poroshenko wrote.
