Trump arrived at the airport first, followed by Putin. After exiting the planes, the leaders met on the red carpet and shook hands.
Ignoring the exclamations and questions of journalists, they went to the rise with the inscription “Alaska 2025”, where they took photos together.
As the AP reports, in the first minutes of the meeting between the American and Russian presidents, military aircraft — F-22 fighters and B2 bombers — flew over the airport.
Trump and Putin then traveled in an armored presidential limousine to the building where the summit would soon begin.
