In Kyiv, the State Emergency Service, on behalf of the government, deployed high-power generators to power residents of residential buildings.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko.
According to her, the decision was made against the backdrop of a difficult energy supply situation in some areas of the capital.
As the official explained, generators help reduce the load on the power system and also ensure the life of entire neighborhoods.
She also noted that inviolability points are being deployed throughout Ukraine.
In addition, it is noted that due to the revision of the list of critical infrastructure facilities, 1 GW of electrical capacity was added to the network.
Separately, Svyrydenko emphasized that the situation with providing people with food is under control.
“Hostile attacks, low temperatures, and icing of networks create additional burden on the system. We ask for your understanding and care for the economical use of electricity,” the Prime Minister urged.
As a reminder, on the night of January 9, Kyiv was subjected to a massive combined attack by enemy UAVs , which damaged residential buildings and infrastructure in several areas of the city.
By the way, emergency power outages have been introduced in the capital as a result of the large-scale attack. The most difficult situation is on the left bank of the capital.
