This week, US President Donald Trump approved a 28-point peace agreement plan between Ukraine and Russia.
This is stated in the NBC News material.
The plan was secretly developed by senior American officials, in consultation with Russian Ambassador Kirill Dmitriev and Ukrainian officials. The American side included special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff, Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Jared Kushner, Trump’s businessman and son-in-law.
In addition to territorial concessions, recognition of Crimea as Russian, and reductions in the size of the army, according to the WSJ , Ukraine needs to abandon NATO membership and a foreign contingent “for at least a few years.”
At the same time, as The Telegraph writes , an option is being considered, such as exchanging land in the East for “rent”, probably referring to monetary compensation for the loss of part of the territories.
The publication notes that this method will allow the Ukrainian authorities not to hold a vote on the rejection of Donbas, as provided for by the Constitution.
On Wednesday, a US delegation arrived in Kyiv to discuss military strategy and technology with Ukrainian officials and help revive the peace process.
Some Ukrainian officials are convinced that the timing of the plan’s presentation coincides with the exposure of a large-scale corruption scheme, as the Kremlin wants to take advantage of a potentially weakened Ukrainian leadership.
Let us remind you that the Donald Trump administration is working on a new large-scale peace project to end the war in Ukraine and is already preparing to present it as a finished document.
It is known that the Trump administration’s ceasefire plan provides for the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions , as well as the freezing of the contact line in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
As reported, the administration of US President Donald Trump is holding secret consultations with Moscow to create a new peace plan for the war in Ukraine . The plan will include 28 points and is being developed taking into account previous US experience in resolving conflicts abroad.
