Reshuffles in the OP are in question: Markarova did not confirm the media information

Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova has been at the center of rumors about her possible appointment as head of the Presidential Office to replace Andriy Yermak. Some deputies have hinted that she was allegedly offered such a position.

Hromadske’s interlocutors in the Servant of the People party said that Markarova allegedly refused to head the OP. Eurosolidarity MP Oleksiy Honcharenko also said that the authorities were considering her candidacy. At the same time, other sources in the Servant of the People faction did not confirm these statements and called the situation political talk.

Some deputies believe that the issue of replacing the head of the OP will still remain on the agenda. One of hromadske’s interlocutors even suggested that without Yermak’s resignation, the parliament could “reach a coalition.” And deputy Fedir Venislavsky publicly stated that he supports the idea of Yermak’s resignation – in particular, because of the mention of a figure nicknamed “Ali Baba” in the “Mindich tapes,” who is associated with pressure on anti-corruption agencies.

However, Oksana Markarova herself denied any offers. In a comment to Ukrainska Pravda, she said: “I did not refuse and they did not offer. I returned to the private sector.” She emphasized that rumors about her possible appointment are not true.

As previously reported, Fedir Venislavsky, a People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” faction and former representative of the president in the Verkhovna Rada and the Constitutional Court, believes that the head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, should be fired.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to replace Oksana Markarova as Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States.
