Residents of Chernihiv region were left without electricity and water: what is known about the situation in the region

In the Chernihiv region, hourly power outages are in effect due to Russian shelling, and critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power.

This was announced by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, power system facilities were under enemy attack. Currently, restoration work is underway in frontline communities.

Currently, consumers receive electricity on an hourly outage schedule.

At the same time, Chernihiv residents are partially provided with water supply, and additional water supply has been organized in some areas of the city.

At the same time, as Kuleba noted, healthcare and social institutions are being served warmly.

There are 260 “Integrity Points” operating in the region, deployed by local governments and units of the State Emergency Service. The official assured that new locations will appear if necessary.

“The occupiers are purposefully launching targeted strikes on the eve of winter. We are making every effort to provide residents with warmth despite the enemy’s efforts,” he concluded.
