Some consumers in three regions were left without electricity due to hostilities and Russian shelling of energy facilities.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

In particular, residents of Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were temporarily without power. Currently, energy workers are working in an intensified mode to restore power to subscribers.

In addition, in some regions, hourly outage schedules are currently in effect for all categories of consumers and capacity limitation measures for industry.

Current power outage schedules are posted on the official websites of regional energy companies. The ministry urged citizens to follow updated information.

“We ask consumers in regions where hourly outages are in effect to use electricity sparingly throughout the day, especially during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening. This helps reduce the load on the system,” the agency added.

As is known, the need for restoration and modernization of the energy sector for the next ten years is $90.6 billion . Compared to the previous estimate, this amount has increased by 34%.

Recall that Latvia will transfer a full-fledged thermal power plant to Ukraine as part of a new aid package to support energy infrastructure amid Russian strikes.
