Resilience begins with women: the Ukrainian Women’s Congress will be held in Vinnytsia.

On March 30, 2026, Vinnytsia will host the regional event of the Ukrainian Women’s Congress, “The Power of Women. Vinnytsia Region.” The event will focus on the role of women’s leadership in communities and its impact on their resilience, development, and ability to respond to the challenges of war.

“It’s important for the Ukrainian Women’s Congress to maintain connections with the regions. Why? That’s where women’s leadership, courage, strength, and resilience are formed. And that’s where women find it so difficult to break through the wall of stereotypes and even believe in themselves,” noted the Congress’s co-founder, Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olena Kondratyuk.

The Congress program is structured as a movement from the personal to the systemic: from leadership stories to practical cases of community development and strategic visions for the future. Participants will discuss how leadership emerges through experience and challenges, how it benefits society, and how it becomes the foundation for long-term change.

“It’s important for us to continually select new locations to encourage leaders across various regions to develop and achieve new goals. Regional housing cooperatives have already been established in Cherkasy, Poltava, Odesa, Lviv, Kremenchuk, Mariupol, and Ivano-Frankivsk,” said Maria Ionova, co-founder of the Ukrainian Women’s Congress and Member of Parliament.

“Women in communities don’t just participate in processes. They are the foundation of community resilience. This women’s contribution must be adequately represented at the decision-making level,” noted Svitlana Voitsekhovskaya, co-founder and director of the Ukrainian Women’s Congress and a member of parliament (2014-2019).

The Ukrainian Women’s Congress is a unique national platform for advancing equality policies in Ukraine. Founded in 2017, the Congress’s work has resulted in the lifting of bans on 450 “male” professions for women, the adoption of a gender quota in elections, and the granting of access to higher military education and permission for women to hold combat officer positions. The Ukrainian Women’s Congress annually holds an event in Kyiv and a series of special events in Ukraine’s regions.

The Ukrainian Women’s Congress “The Power of Women. Vinnytsia Region” was organized by the public organization “Ukrainian Women’s Congress.”
