Retribution has come: collaborator Hrytsay was eliminated in occupied Berdyansk
Today, June 18, in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhia region, a collaborator, traitor to the state, and war criminal, Mykhailo Hrytsai, was killed.

According to the department, Hrytsay was shot as a result of a special operation. The department emphasized that this was another act of just retribution for crimes against the Ukrainian people.
“The traitor and war criminal Mykhailo Hrytsay was destroyed in occupied Berdyansk. There will be fair retribution for every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people,” the intelligence service emphasized.
Who is Mykhailo Hrytsai?
Mykhailo Pavlovych Hrytsai was born on August 3, 1949 in Poltava region, and lived in Berdyansk for a long time. Until 2022, he was a little-known local politician who repeatedly unsuccessfully ran for the Verkhovna Rada and for the position of mayor. He headed the regional and city branches of the Socialist Ukraine party, and previously collaborated with the Socialist Party of Ukraine.
In 2002–2012, he was a volunteer assistant to people’s deputies from the Socialist Party and the Party of Regions — Yosyp Vinsky and Anatoliy Stepanenko, respectively.
After the occupation of Berdyansk by Russian troops in 2022, Hrytsai voluntarily defected to the enemy. He took the position of “acting mayor” and simultaneously “deputy for infrastructure, housing and utilities, and the fuel and energy complex” in the illegal occupation administration.
It was established that Hrytsai was involved in terrorizing the civilian population, persecuting pro-Ukrainian citizens, and organizing torture. In addition, he managed property in the city in the interests of the Russian occupiers.
In April 2022, he was indicted in absentia on suspicion of treason.
