Actor Robert De Niro called US President Donald Trump an “outsider” who has “no empathy.”
He stated this on the MSNBC program “The Weekend,” writes The Hill .
“Trump doesn’t understand humanity. He has no compassion. I don’t know where he is or what he is, but he’s an alien (to this country – ed.), and he wants to harm this country,” the actor said.
According to De Niro, there is something else “deeply psychological” about Trump: he wants to “hurt people” and the country, “and he doesn’t care.”
The article notes that the renowned actor is an outspoken critic of the American president. De Niro called on people to take to the streets to protest against the president on Saturday, “No Kings Day.”
The publication also noted that White House Communications Director Steven Chung told The Hill on Monday that De Niro “hasn’t been relevant for 30 years.”
“Now he is simply making a mockery of himself by expressing hatred and inciting violence against others,” Chung added.
