The attack began at around 01:40 Kyiv time. According to reports on social media, drones may have hit oil tanks on the territory of the Empils plant, after which the fire began to spread.

Rostov Region Governor Yuriy Slyusar confirmed the fire, noting that rescuers are extinguishing a fire at one of the industrial facilities in the western part of the city.

At the same time, the mayor of Rostov-on-Don, Alexander Skryabin, stated that the company’s buildings caught fire due to falling debris during the repelling of an air attack.

In addition to the industrial zone, local Telegram channels reported damage to residential areas. In one neighborhood, the fire engulfed apartments in multi-story buildings.

The governor also reported on the injured. According to him, they are in the hospital in moderate condition.
