Rostov, Taganrog and Belgorod were attacked by drones: the port and railway infrastructure were under attack
On the night of July 27, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, and Belgorod were subjected to a massive drone attack. According to local and OSINT analysts, the railway infrastructure, seaport, and defense-industrial complex enterprises may have been hit.

According to preliminary information, a series of powerful explosions were heard in Rostov-on-Don, and hits were recorded in several areas of the city, including near the port. There were also reports of a drone attack on Taganrog, the details of which are being clarified.
According to OSINT sources, one of the possible targets was Rostov’s railway infrastructure. The local port and the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant, which specializes in the production of optical-electronic, radar, and high-precision systems and is part of Russia’s defense-industrial complex, could also be under attack.
After the attack on the Rostov Sea Commercial Port, smoke was detected in the area of the fourth cargo area.
According to Russian authorities, two people were killed and five others were injured in a nighttime attack in Rostov. A residential building on Beregova Street, located about 1.5 kilometers from the port, was also damaged.
In Belgorod, according to local sources, several cars caught fire after the explosions. Unconfirmed information is also circulating online about a possible hit on an FSB-related facility. There is currently no official confirmation of this information.
Recall that in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan , drones attacked a facility of the company “Transneft-Ural” . According to preliminary data, as a result of the strike, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
It was previously reported that on the night of July 23, several regions of Russia were attacked by drones . In particular, in the Ulyanovsk region, after explosions, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of one of the enterprises, and in the Voronezh region, a new attack on logistics infrastructure was reported. The Russian authorities have not officially commented on the consequences of these strikes.
