US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington remains ready to help find ways to end the war in Ukraine.

He said this during a visit to India, Radio Free Europe journalist Alex Raufoglu reports.

Rubio emphasized that massive attacks, including the recent strike on Kyiv, once again show how important it is to stop the fighting as soon as possible.

“Every such large-scale shelling reminds us of how brutal this war is, and how it has been going on for far too long. The United States is ready to do everything it can to help end it,” he told reporters.

The Secretary of State also commented on his telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. According to him, the Russian minister conveyed a message from Vladimir Putin to US President Donald Trump, and he has already conveyed it to the American leader.

Separately, Rubio responded to claims about a possible danger to diplomats in Kyiv. He clarified that Russia did not separately appeal to the United States to evacuate the embassy, but only warned foreign diplomatic missions about the risks due to the situation in the Ukrainian capital.

“The main danger of such wars is that they can escalate even further,” the US Secretary of State added.

As a reminder, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US and Russia to end the war are currently “on hold” . Washington allows them to resume if the talks are productive.
