US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the US president’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will join US President Donald Trump’s talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Radio Liberty reported this, citing sources in Washington, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, along with Trump, three representatives of the American administration – Rubio, Witkoff, and Kushner – will participate in negotiations with the Ukrainian president.
The meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States will take place on September 22 in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. According to media reports, the talks are scheduled to begin at 8:15 PM Kyiv time.
Zelenskyy and Trump agreed to meet in person during a telephone conversation. Diplomatic solutions to ending the war and security issues are expected to be among the topics discussed.
