Russia and the United States will hold a third round of talks to address so-called irritants in their relations. The meeting will take place before the end of autumn, but the exact dates have not yet been agreed upon.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov, SkyNews reports.
“It will definitely take place before the end of autumn. There are no dates yet, and it’s all still under discussion,” Ryabkov told Russian media.
According to him, the talks will focus on finding ways to resolve tensions in bilateral relations. However, ending the war against Ukraine is not included in the discussion.
The last time the issue of war was raised was at the US leaders’ summit held in Alaska in August.
As a reminder, US President Donald Trump expressed disappointment with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and named the conditions under which Russia is losing the war against Ukraine.
As reported, US President Donald Trump made a number of sweeping statements during a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the most important of which was the admission that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had “let him down.” The American president openly admitted that he had expected an easier path to ending the war in Ukraine thanks to his own contacts with the Kremlin, but the situation turned out to be far more complex.
