Russia says trilateral talks on Ukraine are currently “on pause,” with Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov citing that US negotiators are “busy with other matters.

This was reported by the Russian state-run news agency TASS.

“There is now a pause in the trilateral negotiations. We maintain contacts with the Americans, but we see that the Ukrainians are also actively communicating with them. Now the American negotiators—we know who they are talking about—are busy with something else, a different problem to a greater extent,” said Ushakov.

He also clarified whether Russia receives information about the progress of US negotiations with Ukraine:

“The process of contacts is ongoing, and during these contacts we discuss, I would say, primarily the Ukrainian issue,” the Russian leader’s aide added.

As a reminder, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that the trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the US, and the Russian Federation have effectively reached a dead end.

As previously reported, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia are currently suspended.
