The Russian occupation army launched a 24-hour strike on a Naftogaz Ukraine facility in Poltava Oblast that supplies natural gas.

This was reported by Naftogaz Group.

The attack resulted in significant damage, forcing the plant to shut down. A fire also broke out, but was quickly extinguished by State Emergency Service units. Specialists are working to repair the aftermath of the strike.

The company’s CEO, Sergei Koretsky, noted that Russian forces have already attacked the group’s infrastructure approximately 40 times since the beginning of the year.

Earlier, the head of the Poltava Regional Department reported a strike on an industrial facility in the Poltava district. Damage to equipment left more than 5,000 customers without gas.

According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the attack. Recovery efforts are ongoing.
