Russia again attacked civilian vessels in the Black Sea.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, a hostile drone hit a tanker under the Panamanian flag, which was waiting to enter the port to load vegetable oil. As a result of the attack, one crew member was injured, he is being provided with the necessary medical assistance. Maritime rescue services are working on the scene, extinguishing the fire on board.

Additionally, Russian forces attacked a San Marino-flagged vessel leaving port with a cargo of corn. There were no injuries and the vessel continued its voyage.

Kuleba stressed that these strikes once again demonstrate Russia’s deliberate attacks on civilian vessels, international trade, and maritime safety. At the same time, despite the constant terror from the aggressor, Ukraine continues to operate its ports and fulfill its international obligations.

It was previously reported that Russia has intensified its strikes on Odessa, trying to undermine Ukraine’s economic stability and hit export logistics.

As a reminder, on December 22, Russian occupiers struck Odessa twice during the night, attacking the city’s critical infrastructure.
