Russia attacked Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih overnight: there are dead and injured

On the night of August 16, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, and other Ukrainian cities. The attack resulted in one death and one wounded.

This was reported by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko , the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Police Department, Oleksandr Ganzha , and the State Emergency Service .

In Kyiv, Russians used ballistic missiles. In the Obolon district, debris fell on uninhabited buildings, causing fires. Cars caught fire near one of the buildings, and a large fire also broke out at a market.

A fire broke out in a non-residential building in the Goloseevsky district. Two people were preliminarily injured in the capital. Rescue teams and other emergency services were on the scene.

Industrial facilities in Kryvyi Rih were hit. The attack killed one person and injured six others, according to Oleksandr Ganzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Special Operations Department.

Emergency rescue operations and the elimination of the consequences of the Russian attack continue at the sites of the injuries.
