Russia attacked Odessa and Kyiv region: there are casualties and destruction
Russian occupiers attacked Odessa and the Kyiv region on the night of September 2. As a result of the strikes, there were casualties and damage to infrastructure and residential buildings.
This was reported by the head of the Odessa MVA Serhiy Lysak and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine .
In Odessa, the attack damaged infrastructure and destroyed residential buildings. According to preliminary data, three people were injured, including a child.
Before the attack, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic weapons from the south. The military also reported the launch of guided bombs and “Banderol” loitering munitions in the direction of Odessa.
In the Kyiv region, a Russian strike drone destroyed two townhouses in Vyshneve, Buchanskyi district. The hit caused a fire, which rescuers have already extinguished.
Currently, work is underway at the site to clear the rubble and inspect damaged structures. Preliminary, there are no fatalities, information about possible victims is being clarified.
According to updated information, the number of people injured in Russia’s overnight attack on Odesa has risen to eight. One of the injured is a child, and two people have been hospitalized.
The attack damaged a 24-story residential building, with apartments destroyed on several floors. Cars, office buildings and two educational institutions were also damaged.
It was previously reported that on the night of September 1, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the region, using missiles and strike drones. The attack resulted in deaths, injuries, and damage to civilian infrastructure.
