Russia attacked Odessa region ports and civilian ships: there are casualties
Russian forces attacked transport infrastructure in the Odessa region and civilian vessels in the ports of Greater Odessa and the Danube region on August 3. According to updated data, 10 people were injured in the strike.
This was reported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Transport of Ukraine.
Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing at the sites of the shelling. Medics are providing assistance to all victims.
The ministry emphasized that the Russian army continues to systematically attack Ukraine’s transport infrastructure, seaports, and civilian vessels.
According to the agency, since the beginning of August alone, Russian troops have carried out five attacks on seaport facilities, struck civilian vessels in ports three times, and twice attacked vessels in the Ukrainian Sea Corridor.
In July, according to the Ministry of Development, the invaders carried out 67 attacks on port infrastructure, attacked civilian vessels in ports 35 times, and attacked vessels moving along the Ukrainian Sea Corridor 22 times.
The department noted that the intensity of Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports and civilian shipping continues to increase.
