Russia attacked Odessa with drones: two dead, many injured
On the night of Friday, April 24, the Russian occupation army attacked Odessa with drone strikes. The shelling killed two people and injured at least 14 others of varying severity.
This was reported by rescuers of the State Emergency Service and the head of the Emergency Medical Service, Serhiy Lysak.
It is noted that residential areas of the city were hit. Fires broke out in several areas, and significant destruction of civilian infrastructure was recorded.
“The enemy has again struck at the residential areas of our city,” Lysak reported.
According to the State Emergency Service, one of the drones hit a three-story building, burning apartments there, injuring six people. Two more two-story buildings were destroyed, one person was rescued from the rubble, about 20 residents were evacuated, including children. Seven more people were injured in these buildings.
A separate blow fell on another apartment building, killing two people and injuring another. 16 residents were evacuated from the building.
More than 140 rescuers are working on the ground. Psychologists are helping the victims – more than 50 people, including children, have already received support.
The elimination of the consequences of the attack is ongoing.
