Russia attacked railway infrastructure: what is known

Russia continues to deliberately attack Ukraine’s railway logistics, trying to paralyze traffic and create a threat to civilians.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, in the last 24 hours alone, Russian troops have carried out seven drone strikes on railway facilities.

“Russia is deliberately attacking our logistical routes. This is terror against people and civilian logistics,” she stressed.

The railway infrastructure of the Sinelnikovo station was hit, in particular. The cars of electric trains that were on the sludge, freight cars, locomotives, tracks, power grids, as well as administrative and industrial buildings were damaged. There were no casualties.

Due to the threat of repeated attacks, Ukrzaliznytsia is forced to maintain restrictions on movement between Dnipro and Zaporizhia. All trains that were supposed to depart from Zaporizhia are now departing from Dnipro.

Passengers on evening flights are transported by buses. Transfers were provided by the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration.

It was previously reported that a Russian missile strike damaged part of the Philip Morris Ukraine factory in the Kharkiv region.

As a reminder, the Russian occupiers shelled the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson with multiple rocket launcher systems.
