Russia attacked the energy sector of Chernihiv region: more than 26 thousand people without electricity

On the morning of September 30, Russian troops launched a massive strike on the Chernihiv region. As a result of the attack, more than 26,000 subscribers in Bobrovytsia and surrounding villages were left without electricity. The Russians targeted an energy infrastructure facility.

This was reported by ChernihivOblenergo and Chernihiv Regional State Administration.

Energy workers have already begun repair work, but they are being carried out taking into account the security situation. The company urged residents not to approach energy facilities during air raids and to observe information silence.

According to the Regional State Administration, the Nizhyn district was attacked by suicide drones, probably “Geran”. As a result of the strikes, fires broke out, which rescuers have already extinguished. In total, 20 attacks were recorded in 13 settlements in the Chernihiv region during the day, Koryukiv and Novgorod-Siversky districts were also under fire.

Due to the consequences of the strikes, Ukrzaliznytsia has warned of changes in train traffic in the Chernihiv region. Some flights from Kyiv to Nizhyn have been canceled, while others are running with delays.

Yes, the route of train No. 6902 has been changed: now it will run Kyiv-Volynskyi – Bobryk instead of Kyiv-Volynskyi – Nizhyn. Train No. 6901 will run the Bobryk – Kyiv route, while previously it departed from Nosivka.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that on the night of Tuesday, September 30, a Russian strike drone hit a residential building in the village of Chernechchyna, Krasnopil community, Sumy region . A couple with two young sons, ages 4 and 6, were in the apartment. Unfortunately, no one was able to escape – rescuers pulled the bodies of all four victims from under the rubble.

Also, as a result of the Russian shelling of Zaporizhia on September 28, the number of wounded increased to 49 people.
