Russia attacked the Nova Poshta terminal near Kharkiv with missiles: four people were killed, another 20 were injured
On July 19, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the Kharkiv Innovative Sorting Terminal of Nova Poshta in the suburbs of Kharkiv. The attack killed 4 people and injured 20 others.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, at about 11:00, the Russian army launched three missile strikes on the outskirts of Kharkiv. It has been previously established that the Russian troops used three S8000 “Banderol” missiles . The hits were recorded on the territory of the Kharkiv innovative sorting terminal of “Nova Poshta”.
The attack caused a large-scale fire in the warehouse and damaged the building’s facade. According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, 4 people were killed and 20 others were injured.
Novaya Poshta reported that two company employees and a driver of a partner carrier were among the dead. There are also injured employees who were hospitalized.
“The enemy’s cynical attack on civilian logistics infrastructure took the lives of two of our colleagues and the driver of a carrier partner,” Novaya Poshta reported.
The company noted that it is providing assistance to the families of the deceased and injured, as well as compensating customers for the declared value of shipments destroyed as a result of the attack. To minimize delivery delays, Nova Poshta has deployed backup logistics routes and sorting hubs.
Under the procedural leadership of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of committing a war crime that caused the death of people, under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It was previously reported that Russian troops struck a suburb of Kharkiv on the afternoon of July 19. According to preliminary data, three people were killed and 13 others were injured as a result of the shelling.
As a reminder, on the night of July 19, Russian troops launched a massive missile strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, using, in particular, ballistic missiles.
