Russia attacked Ukraine with 107 drones: how many did air defense shoot down?

On the night of Thursday, October 1, Russia attacked Ukraine with 107 strike drones of various types. Air defense forces shot down or suppressed 87 enemy drones.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces launched Shahed strike UAVs, including 63 jet drones, as well as Gerbers and Parody simulator drones. The launches were carried out from the areas of Orel, Millerovoye, Bryansk, Shatalovoye, as well as from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region and Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defenses had destroyed or suppressed 87 enemy drones.
At the same time, Russian airstrikes were recorded at 11 locations. Downed drones and their debris fell at four more locations.
The Air Force noted that the attack was still ongoing at the time of publication — several enemy UAVs remained in the airspace.
