Russia attacked Ukraine with 119 drones: how the air defense worked

On the night of Thursday, April 9, Russian occupation forces carried out a massive drone attack on Ukraine. The enemy used 119 strike drones of various types, including about 70 “Shaheeds.”
This was reported by the Air Force.
It is noted that the drones were launched from several directions, including from the territory of Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the attack.
“As of 08:00, air defenses have shot down or suppressed 119 enemy UAVs,” the report says.
At the same time, 16 strike drones were recorded hitting 11 locations. Debris from downed drones also fell in four more places.
The Air Force warns that the attack was still ongoing in the morning.
“There are enemy UAVs in the airspace. Follow safety rules,” the military stressed.
